COMMUNITY

The River Forest Tennis Club prides itself on being a good neighbor. Our tennis instruction and swim lesson programs have been a mainstay in the community for decades. Each year, we host the CDTA Tournament and a Collegiate Tennis Invitational, both free to the public.

Our 2022 community impact:

  • Men’s Team Tennis contributed $750 dollars to support the urgent needs of disadvantaged people through OPRF Community Foundation

  • Boosted John Morlidge's family and community through a contribution of $750 to the Needy Basket.

  • Women’s Team Tennis provided $950 worth of essential items and gift cards to women dealing with domestic violence through Sarah's Inn.

  • Saved money and diverted clothes from landfills with the New to You clothing swap and donated $340 to WonderWorks Children’s Museum in Oak Park.

  • Enabled under-resourced communities to enjoy tennis through Serve & Return equipment donations.

  • Snapped pictures on the lawn, with Corey Kessler, to provide a family five month's worth of dinners through Photos for Food/Beyond Hunger.

  • Raised more than $1K and donated pantry items for Beyond Hunger on Opening Night.

  • Gave enough blood to help 16 people.

  • RFTC Swim Team raised over $12,000 to build a well for the Thirst Project.

  • Sponsored swim lessons for 9 Hephzibah Residents through the Hunter Quigley Coe Swim Scholarship Foundation and the Be the Boat Foundation
